With a small needle, Dysport® is injected into the target muscle, and depending on the procedure, these injections can take between 5 and 30 minutes to complete. Please note that Dysport is not right for you if you are allergic to cow’s milk protein or any of Dysport’s other ingredients, have had hypersensitivity to any neuromodulators or any other ingredient, or have an infection at the planned injection site. People that should avoid Dysport are those that are currently pregnant, currently breastfeeding, over 65, or have a neurological disorder like myasthenia graves.
Do not receive a Dysport injection if: you are allergic to Dysport or any of its ingredients, or cow’s milk protein; you had an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin product, such as Myobloc®, Botox®, or Xeomin®; or you have a skin infection at the planned injection site.
